APN is short form for Access Point Name and basically consists of 2 parts: 1). Access Point Name Network Identifier (APN-NI) 2). Access Point Name Operator Identifier (APN-OI) EXAMPLE: internet.mnc<MNC>.mcc<MCC>.gprs For this case: 1). internet is the APN-NI, that defines an external network. 2). mnc<MNC>.mcc<MCC>.gprs is the APN-OI, that defines the backbone network where the GGSN is located. #PerfectionIsANorm!
